What in the World is God Doing?

Holy Spirit OutpouringThe Outpouring of the Holy Spirit

Communiqué - December 1991
by Jan van Rooyen

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on a small group of believers in Topeka, Kansas, on January 1, 1901, gave birth to the modern Pentecostal movement.

Many similar revivals have taken place all over the world since then, but never before has it been so apparent that we need a great spiritual awakening and "revival," that would stem the tide of sin and wickedness that we see all around us.

The lukewarmness in our churches and the fallen state of our nation, causes one to realise that something drastic has to happen to change the course of events.

Revival, (or more accurately, reformation), will only take place when people realise that they are sinful and they then turn to Jesus Christ who is the Lifegiver, and the only One who has any lasting solutions and answers to the problems of life.

The crucible or matrix from which revival is born, is prayer. Of necessity this involves someone who prays and Someone who answers that petition and request. Prayer is a major part of the answer, yet not many are willing to lay down their lives for others in this way; to see them set free and delivered from their sin.

Through supplication and intercession we enter by faith into the Throne room of God, and we ask Him to set people free from bondage and tradition.

We ask that their hearts be made free so that they will cry out to Jesus Who is the only Saviour of mankind. This is all done by the Power of the Holy Spirit Who speaks to men and women and tells them that they need Jesus.

God is looking for men and women who are willing to pray for revival. He is looking for people who want to be obedient to His call.

Are you willing to obey the call of the Holy Spirit?

Yours in His Love and Anointing
